Our Operations

The Oncology Section within the area of Blood and Tumor Diseases provides highly specialized care, investigation, and treatment. The section conducts training for various professional groups and research on tumor diseases and new treatments.

At the oncology clinic, there is an ambitious and cheerful team that cares for both each other and our patients. You will come to a fun and personal workplace where we constantly follow the exciting development in oncology.

Your Mission

We are now looking for another contact nurse for our ANI unit (anal cancer), which has a close collaboration with the radiation clinic.

According to the care programs for various cancer diseases, all patients who are investigated and treated for cancer should have a contact nurse at the clinic they belong to. As a contact nurse, you are the person the patient turns to primarily for information, nursing advice, self-care measures, and support regarding planned and ongoing treatment. In addition to the usual duties as a nurse, the role includes the honor of meeting and supporting patients and relatives at different stages of life and during many different types of oncological treatments, both with adjuvant and palliative focus.

As a contact nurse, you also work with telephone advice, meet patients and relatives together with doctors during both new visits and follow-ups. We have our own contact nurse clinic where we plan for, meet, and follow up on our patients' treatments. It is exciting and developing to work both independently and together in a team around the patient. We collaborate with many different units and professions, which provides breadth and development in the work.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training in oncology or contact nurse training. Experience with the Cosmic journal system is a plus.

We are looking for someone who always puts the patient in focus and is responsible and motivated in your work. This is reflected not only in your high work ethic but also in your fearless and goal-oriented approach. You have the ability to work independently and an interest in developing our operations together with us. You are not only a skilled nurse but also an engaged and positive colleague who is willing to develop the unit together with us and contribute to a good working environment. You also have a great empathetic ability. If you combine this with curiosity and thoroughness, you may be the right fit for us. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We Offer

We offer a permanent full-time position with start date according to agreement. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

We encourage each other to further education and have the opportunity to attend various training courses. We all have a scheduled day per month for optional training, job shadowing, or anything else that can strengthen ourselves and the workgroup. You will have the opportunity to attend contact nurse training while working with us.
