Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in the country. Nuclear power has very low fossil footprints and is a stable and weather-independent energy source. Since 1980, our three production facilities have delivered climate-smart electricity every day, all year round.

About the Role

We are now looking for a competence strategist for the HR and competence unit, who will focus on environmental monitoring and drive company-wide competence initiatives with internal and external stakeholders. HR is a shared staff function, where you will have close contact with the competence strategist at Ringhals within the competence area strategies. At Forsmark, you will work closely with your colleagues, where the team consists of HRBPs and competence developers. We are a wonderful mix of newer and more experienced colleagues, who have a good collaborative climate where we share our skills and experiences with each other. Our work model is hybrid, with a 60/40 split as a starting point. The position is new and will evolve and vary in content over time.

You will lead the strategic work on long-term competence supply for Forsmark, which means working with many different contact points and being a natural part of various development projects within the Vattenfall Group. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing strategic relationships in competence development and supply with, for example, chambers of commerce, business offices, and educational actors in the region, as well as many internal networks and stakeholders to collaborate with.

Examples of tasks:

  • Shape, lead, and drive strategic company-wide competence initiatives and processes with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the organization has the right competence, in the right number, at the right time
  • Deliver effective and value-creating processes that identify existing and future competence needs
  • Lead the annual Competence Inventory to highlight existing competence and associated gaps
  • Coordinate Strategic Workforce Planning – the organization's personnel needs over time
  • Needs and environmental analysis – to understand the challenges and changes the organization faces. Factors that may affect future needs and the environment, such as economy, laws, requirements, demographics, technology, or digitalization

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a university degree in HR, economics, or similar, who has successfully worked in at least one of the following areas:

  • Operational and strategic work in competence and staffing from a larger, more complex organization
  • Stakeholder management with both internal and external contact points
  • Driven various competence assurance and supply initiatives in areas such as recruitment and sourcing, upskilling and reskilling, training, etc.

In addition to this, we place great importance on your personal qualities. To succeed in the role, you need to be solution-oriented and have the ability to translate strategies into concrete actions. The role involves independent work and collaboration with many different contact points. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written form and are experienced in delivering company presentations. Fluent Swedish is a requirement.

Buses to and from Forsmark are adapted to the working hours of daytime staff. We also offer work buses with wireless networks on the routes Gävle-Forsmark and Uppsala-Forsmark, allowing you to use travel time as work time if/when work allows. You also have the option to use our remote workspaces in Gävle and Uppsala or work from home if/when work allows.
