The Management Office is led by the regional director and has a governing, supportive, and coordinating role within Region Uppsala. The office includes the department for finance and governance, the department for regional development, the IT department, the HR department, the health and medical care department, the information and communication department, and the regional director's staff.
The Management Office has approximately 1,000 employees. If you want to develop and contribute to the development of Region Uppsala - welcome to work with us!
Welcome to the HR Department
The HR department belongs to Region Uppsala's Management Office and works on behalf of the regional management, responsible for overarching strategic HR work in Region Uppsala. The mission is to develop and provide qualitative and operational HR support based on the employer policy strategy.
The area of competence and leadership within the HR department is a future-oriented and development-oriented operation that focuses on creating added value for Region Uppsala's various operations in competence supply and leadership issues. The unit consists of approximately 22 employees working in areas such as strategic competence supply, employer branding, equal treatment, security and military placements, management and employee relations, as well as recruitment and hiring of temporary staff.
We are now looking for a new colleague to our team! The role involves providing consultative and administrative support, primarily to managers at Akademiska sjukhuset and Lasarettet i Enköping (and to some extent also to the Region's Management Office). The focus is on supporting processes related to hiring temporary staff and certain parts of the recruitment process, such as job postings.
Your assignment
Are you a problem solver who enjoys administrative tasks and seeking a challenging role? Then the position of HR consultant might be right for you!
In your role, you will:
- Coordinate and administer the entire procurement process for hiring temporary staff, including sending requests for quotes, compiling and following up candidate performances, and recording cases in Public 360.
- Maintain ongoing contact via email and phone with department managers in care departments and external consulting suppliers to answer questions related to ongoing procurements.
- Work simultaneously on several processes that require different types of efforts – a role for you who is a true "doer".
- Participate in Region Uppsala's efforts to reduce dependence on temporary staff and contribute to long-term solutions.
Additionally, you will assist managers in parts of the recruitment process, primarily by publishing job advertisements and managing cases in our recruitment tool Brand Management Center.
Your qualifications
- You have a university degree in human resources or equivalent.
- Several years of experience in roles that have demanded your administrative skills.
- Experience in similar tasks, such as knowledge of procurement processes and supplier contacts is an advantage.
We are looking for someone who is accustomed to working with various software programs, particularly Outlook, Excel, OneNote, Teams, and preferably also Public 360. You also have the ability to understand and quickly familiarize yourself with new IT systems. Additionally, you express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Your competence
We are looking for someone with a strong ability to handle a larger volume of administrative tasks and who enjoys working in a dynamic and at times challenging and changing environment. Since you will have several ongoing processes at the same time, this will require a structured work methodology where you take responsibility for your tasks and drive your processes forward. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You remain calm and composed under stress or in pressured situations and focus on the right things. You work well with others, are confident and attentive. You communicate clearly and ensure that messages are conveyed.
We offer
We offer a special fixed-term employment at 100% with a start date by agreement and until the end of August 2025.
We have a flexible working approach, which means there are good opportunities to work partly remotely. The distribution between remote work and work at the Region's Management Office will be discussed with the manager and others in the team.
