Dangerous animal diseases can have serious consequences, from suffering in animals and humans to economic losses and disruptions in food supply. The National Veterinary Institute, SVA, is an expert authority that strengthens Sweden's ability to combat animal diseases that pose a threat to critical societal functions through diagnostics, research, and advisory services. Job Responsibilities

You will work as a controller in the finance section. Your tasks include traditional controller work such as planning, budgeting, and follow-up, as well as work with annual financial statements and reports. The work also includes support with calculations and cost and price calculations for our extensive fee-funded activities. Furthermore, to produce financial analyses and statistics that form the basis for operational management. You support the business in financial matters and also work with governing documents in the area. In your role, you will also act as a trainer within the organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree in business economics or equivalent competence and has experience working as an economist, preferably with a focus on controlling. You have the ability to see the big picture and an interest in developing work in the field. You are flexible, take initiative, and make things happen.

Great importance is placed on cooperation skills and personal suitability for the tasks, such as being proactive, being able to collaborate, and communicate effectively. You can work both independently and in a team. You can express yourself well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. You are an experienced Excel user.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with controlling and/or experience in project accounting and administration of research projects. Experience with business systems and reporting tools. If you have an interest and aptitude for business development such as Lean or similar theories/models, we see it as a merit.

The employment starts with a six-month probationary period.
