Farm Machine Operator Wanted for the 2025 Crop Season

We are looking for a farm machine operator for the 2025 crop season. As part of our team at Ultuna estate, you will work on a cutting-edge farm with close ties to research, trials, and students.

About the Job

You will be offered a varied job with significant responsibility and many points of contact and development opportunities both within SLU and in the industry. With us, you will perform soil preparation, transportation, crop inspection, machine work, and more.

You will work in our regular team consisting of the farm manager, a farm master, and two machine operators. Together with them, you will be responsible for managing and harvesting this year's grain crop. You will have access to a modern fleet of machinery that you will also maintain.

The job is a seasonal employment according to agreement during the period of June-September 2025. Some overtime work on weekends and evenings may occur.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in agriculture, experience as a machine operator in crop production, and a valid driver's license (B). A certificate for a front loader and a license for plant protection 1L-2L are advantageous.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

About Us

At Ultuna estate, we cultivate around 1300 hectares of crops and pasture. The crop production is both conventional and organic, and approximately 90-140 hectares are crop trials or experimental cultivation.

Ultuna estate is part of SLU's agricultural operations, which has a total of 11 employees across SLU's four estates: Ultuna, Alnarp, Lanna (Skara), and Hallfreda (Gotland). The mission of agricultural operations is to manage and utilize some of SLU's foremost research and teaching resources: land, forests, and their data.
