About the organization

The System Management Unit (SFE) at the FMTIS unit manages and develops the Swedish Armed Forces' IT systems. Our main task is to ensure the operation of the systems and that their information is secure, accurate, and accessible. We contribute to the Armed Forces' operational capability. The IT section, where the positions will be filled, belongs to the IT security department. The section is responsible for infrastructure management for several systems, and we collaborate closely with other sections, departments, and units. Main Responsibilities

The position of network specialist involves, among other things, that you:

• Will conduct active management work to maintain network infrastructure for IT systems
• Ensure that the IT systems comply with the Armed Forces' various regulations, primarily regarding availability and security
• Assist in security analyses according to the Armed Forces' regulations of IT systems
• Develop and manage security policies for IT systems

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• You have an academic degree with a focus on network communication or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
• Knowledge of IT systems with special security requirements
• Good knowledge of troubleshooting in networks using various tools
• Experience working with the development and management of network infrastructure and network communication in large and complex organizations
• Experience working with configurations of firewall systems, LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, routers, load balancing
• Experience with creating documentation of network architecture using e.g. Visio

Personal characteristics

You need to have a strong interest in technology, be driven by technical problem-solving, and contribute new ideas. You take responsibility for your tasks and find it easy to work both independently and in teams. As a person, you are self-assured, responsible, security-conscious, and social. We expect you to share the Armed Forces' value foundation and code of conduct. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
