About the job

Here you will be part of the corporate claims group, which currently consists of 12 employees with different backgrounds and experiences who assist business owners, farmers, or property owners who have suffered a loss. The group handles property and building damage for corporate clients as well as liability and legal protection cases for both corporate and private clients.

Your main tasks will be to handle liability and legal protection cases. The role involves investigating whether liability for damages exists for the insured company or person in the event of claims that may be covered by insurance. The investigations primarily concern contractual liability, professional liability, and general liability. In your work, you will have close contact with our clients, the injured party, or their legal representatives. You will investigate and make decisions on compensation issues based on agreed insurance terms, applicable legislation, and practice.

The position entails significant personal responsibility and independent work as you investigate and make decisions on compensation issues based on insurance terms, practice, and applicable legislation. Claims handling is often complex, which means you will constantly have opportunities for new challenges where you collaborate with your colleagues to find the best solutions.

Background and experience

We are looking for someone with an academic education in law and an interest in working with insurance and tort law. If you also have experience in claims handling, preferably from the insurance industry, particularly in claims adjustment, it is an advantage. The position involves a lot of communication with both external and internal contacts, so we value your ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing.

To thrive in the role of claims adjuster, you need to enjoy having a lot of customer contact, be attentive, unpretentious, and service-oriented. In this role, you work independently and need to feel comfortable making your own decisions. You should be able to handle contacts with opposing parties and represent our clients' interests professionally. Of course, you will have the support of your colleagues, just as you support them when needed.

The employment is full-time, permanent with an initial probationary period of 6 months, located at our office in central Linköping.
