Personal assistants needed for an active young man in Staffanstorp

Sydassistans is looking for personal assistants for a social and active 40-year-old man in Staffanstorp.

The client has an acquired brain injury and requires assistance around the clock. His disability means that he is wheelchair-bound, has ataxia (involuntary shaking), and has slow, somewhat unclear speech as well as epilepsy.

The tasks include assistance with:

· Transfers (with the help of a lift)

· Personal hygiene

· Household chores

· Participation in leisure activities

· Outings

The client has his own car, so it is a requirement that you have a driver's license and are comfortable driving.

The client attends a daily activity program 3 days a week and trains for his back – during these times, the assistant will be present.

Working hours We are looking for both full-time employees and hourly substitutes.

You will work according to a rotating schedule that includes day, evening, and weekend shifts as well as sleeping on-call duty.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone who is smoke-free, responsible, attentive, pedagogical, and has a sense of humor. You need to be able to motivate and encourage the client to break old habits. You should also be able to take initiative and collaborate with the team and relatives to make everyday life work for the client.

You need to be understanding that I can get stuck asking the same questions over and over again both when my memory is short (but good) and when I use questions as a way to communicate.
