Strandskolan is a F-9 school with 750 students in a beautiful school building.

The school has high results and is located in an area with outstanding nature around the corner. Based on the vision “We give our children roots and wings,” we offer an education where a safe and stable foundation creates the best conditions for daring to take on new challenges and try their wings. We work thematically with a focus on creativity. We see interdisciplinary work as important, and with a joint Open House each term for the entire school, all students have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge in various ways.

We are a well-functioning school with a holistic view of both knowledge and students. With high and positive expectations for both students and staff, we achieve success. We offer a challenging and developing work environment together with engaged colleagues and students. With high student results, we actively work on school development based on research and proven experience. We have made good progress in the use of digital technology.

Strandskolan is a fantastic school to work in. We have grade-specific teams with team leaders in all three stages F-3, 4-6, and 7-9. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop tomorrow's school and after-school care. We think and work preventively and health-promoting both regarding our students and with each other.

We are a school that has a strong focus on constantly developing and improving teaching and operations in the school and after-school care. About the Position

We are looking for someone who, together with us, stands for teaching where everything is possible. Where Science and Technology are challenging, fun, and developing. Our goal is for all students to have the opportunity to discover the joy of Science and Technology. The team is cohesive and has close collaboration in both development issues and everyday life.

The position is planned to be filled full-time, as a permanent employment, starting from February 3, 2025.

Who Are You?

We are looking for a certified teacher in Technology and Science subjects for grades 7-9 who has a strong commitment, an easy time creating and maintaining relationships with students, staff, and guardians. You should have experience teaching in primary school. Your teaching in Technology and Science subjects is inspiring and challenging. You have the ability to capture and engage your students and see it as a given that there are different paths to the magical world of Technology and Science.

We would like you to have experience working interdisciplinary for an increased sense of context for our students. You should be well acquainted with the school's governing documents and be able to apply them in practice. Furthermore, it is important that you are structured, driven, and self-regulating.

You should have experience and a willingness to meet students' differences. In your teaching, you should spark students' curiosity to explore and experiment with different materials and dare to take on challenges in a creative way. It is important that you have the ability to find different strategies to reach each student and support them in their knowledge and personal development.

As a person, you are attentive and unpretentious. By being interested and understanding others, you contribute to a respectful working climate. You have a good attitude and are open with a positive approach in your interactions with students and colleagues. You have the ability to create good relationships and contribute to seeing opportunities and solutions in our work to develop a school that meets students in the best way.
