Nordic International School is now looking for a driven Academic Manager who wants to help develop our schools – we want more students to have the opportunity for a really good education.

Your Responsibilities

As an Academic Manager, you are responsible for coordinating academic initiatives and ensuring that our teaching methods are evidence-based. By developing our teaching methods, you contribute to more students gaining access to a school characterized by quality and safety. You work closely with the head of the business area and the school management. As an Academic Manager, you do not have personnel responsibility.

Main Tasks:

Coordinate academic initiatives and ensure that our teaching methods are evidence-based, such as Direct Instruction and knowledge-based teaching.

Be a resource for the school management and the business area manager, and support them in their work.

Monitor student performance and follow up on failing grades, as well as provide teachers with support and strategies to improve teaching.

Implement strategies to ensure that gifted and talented students are stimulated and engaged in the learning process.

Work in the school environment and support teaching as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for a dynamic and goal-oriented person with experience in evidence-based teaching methods, preferably within the education sector or related fields.

Requirements:

Relevant higher education in pedagogy or similar.

Experience working with evidence-based teaching methods.

Good ability to collaborate and communicate with both teachers, school management, and business area managers.

Experience working with students with different needs and conditions.

Conditions

Employment type: Permanent. A probationary period applies.

Start date: Immediately, but consideration will be given to any notice period.
