What we do and want
Welcome to Kumla School in Tyresö Municipality!
Kumla School is a F-9 school where about 700 students and 85 adults work together.
The school is located in a quiet area where the well-being of both students and staff is high! We have a high level of ambition and it is important for us that students develop as far as they can and that their time at Kumla School becomes a positive memory for life.
In the lower grades, we have a set of computers per grade, and students in grades 6-9 have their own Chromebook that they use in teaching. We have a mobile-free school day for students in all grades. Our classes consist of about 23-28 students.
About the position
We are looking for someone who wants to work as a substitute teacher for grades 6-9.
As a substitute, you replace the regular teacher for a longer or shorter period. You prepare and hold lessons according to the teacher's planning. Often we can contact you a day in advance, but it may also happen that we need help on the same day. You control which days and times you are available to work, making it easy to combine work with us with, for example, studies or a part-time job.
Who are you?
You are a flexible and clear leader in the classroom and have a good ability to build relationships and teach. Naturally, you have a positive attitude and meet students, guardians, and colleagues with curiosity and warmth.
The assignment may suit you if you are studying and have the opportunity to manage your own time to some extent. If you are not a qualified teacher, it is desirable that you have experience in leading children and youth. You need to be clear and responsive as a person and not be afraid to take command in the classroom and other areas belonging to the school.
