Special Education Teacher Responsible for EHT and Municipal Teaching Groups

The Position and Responsibilities

We are looking for a special education teacher with an interest and experience in leading EHT, special support, and supervising our two municipal teaching groups. At Malmsjö School, we can offer a challenging, complex, and incredibly fun assignment!

This role includes developing a favorable learning environment, language development work, and organizing support for reading and writing development for younger ages. You enjoy seeing the student as a whole and in context, developing compensatory work together with teachers and supporting the use of compensatory tools.

You work to ensure that every educator can succeed in their role, and this work involves collaborating with other staff based on the school's values and knowledge perspective. You will also be part of and lead the school's student health team, which is part of the preventive and promotional work.

Some of your responsibilities will include ensuring documentation around special support, as well as planning and following up on student health work at the school together with the educational leadership team and EHT. It is also an important task to follow up on goal fulfillment with the school's management and work with proactive measures.

Malmsjö School is a K-9 school with about 480 students, located by Malmsjön and close to beautiful natural areas. With its location on the outskirts of Botkyrka Municipality, there are well-functioning communications to Tumba, Södertälje, and Nynäshamn.

You Who Are Applying to Us

Requirements: Teaching certification and special education training. Experience working as a special education teacher in primary school.

As a person, you work in a structured manner, plan your work well, and are independent; you are confident, stable, and unpretentious. You are engaged and interested in school development issues. You want to work health-promoting, preventive, and also be present in the operations, being a close colleague to both educators and the EHT team.

You know which governing documents and regulations the work is based on. It is important for you to have a good dialogue with relevant actors and partners, both externally and internally. You contribute with a solution-focused approach.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and are comfortable using IT in your daily work. You work systematically and well-planned but can be flexible when needed. To succeed in the role, you need to be a trustworthy person who easily builds relationships. We highly value your ability to interest, inspire, and engage.

Meritorious: As a person, you are interested in staying updated and being at the forefront of your profession. You are relationship-building and collaborative to meet the needs of individuals and the organization. You also need to be structured to provide high-quality teaching.
