We are looking for a driven and engaged foster care consultant for our foster care unit in Örebro. Are you a person with good social skills and experience in treatment or supervision? About the position
Humana is a leading player in Swedish foster care. Our work is characterized by commitment, flexibility, and proven methods that contribute to ensuring quality interventions. We have various units and offices to get close to our foster homes located throughout Sweden. The Örebro foster care unit covers Örebro County and Värmland County, with offices in Örebro and Karlstad. The position is based in Örebro and may involve travel to Karlstad based on the needs of the operation.
As a foster care consultant, you will be part of a team with other foster care consultants based in both Örebro and Karlstad. Your primary tasks will consist of recruiting and assessing new foster homes, supervising foster homes, and working on inquiries from social services seeking foster homes for children and youth. In our work, we use research- and evidence-based methods such as TryggFam and Connect. You will also be part of various development projects as we constantly review ourselves to ensure quality foster care.
We have trust-based working hours, which means we have the freedom to plan our time while it is expected of us to allocate some working hours in the evenings and weekends based on the needs of the operation. On-call duty is included.
Examples of tasks
- Recruit foster homes
- Support and supervise emergency and foster homes
- Assess and train foster homes
- Continuously report care in writing to clients
- Establish and maintain contact with clients
- Participate in the development work around consultant-supported foster care
About the employment
Working hours and employment rate: Permanent employment, 100%, trust-based working hours. Work during evenings and weekends may occur. A 6-month probationary period applies.
Start date: by agreement.
Who are you?
To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to easily create and maintain good relationships. You have experience and knowledge of foster care as a form of care, as well as a good understanding of what is required to maintain quality interventions. As a person, you must feel comfortable working independently and with your colleagues. We also see that you have a positive attitude towards collaboration and building strong relationships, both internally and externally. The work is constantly changing, which requires flexibility, structure, and the ability to adapt and prioritize your work accordingly.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
For this position, you are required to:
- have a degree in social work
- have a valid driver's license (B)
It is also meritorious if you:
- have experience working in treatment and/or supervision
- have experience in foster care
- have good documentation skills
- have good knowledge of BBIC and the Social Services Act
