We are looking for a priest who wants to work with us to explore how we can best be a church today in our three parishes. Who are you?

You enjoy working broadly as a priest and are accustomed to various contexts. You are stable and self-assured, grounded in your Christian faith, and enjoy building relationships with others. You can reflect on faith and life, have ideas and thoughts on how we can work to be a church in today's society.

What do we offer?

Kumla parish has three congregations, and we offer a varied position with the usual priest duties such as services, church ceremonies, pastoral care, etc. For us, it is important that you, together with other staff members, want to be involved in our work to build community and have a special interest in Hardemo congregation. We have activities that span all ages and various formats. You will serve every other weekend. As a priest, you will work in a team with other professionals. We meet people of all ages, from different backgrounds, from across society.

Together with staff, elected representatives, and volunteers, you will help develop our work in the parish based on our vision to be the church in the village. The parish consists of three congregations, which means we have three parish councils, one church council, and one church assembly.

What does Kumla parish look like?

The parish has three units: the congregational unit, the office unit, and the cemetery and property unit, led by unit managers. The unit managers are part of a management team led by the vicar. The congregational unit consists of about twenty-five staff members led by deacon Åsa Gruffman. The parish has four priest positions and one vicar position. For us, it is important to create a good work environment for staff, which is achieved, among other things, by creating a balance between tasks and working hours.

Interviews in the diocesan chapter will take place on February 24, eligibility declaration and suitability assessment will occur on March 13.

The parish will interview between February 25 and March 13.

Start date will be agreed upon.

Full-time position, permanent employment, regulated working hours with a local collective agreement on flexible working hours. Health benefits are offered.

You are ordained as a priest.

You have a B driver's license and access to your own car.

A criminal record extract must be presented before starting.
