We are looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for a man in his 60s. The man lives in a house just outside Kumla. He is interested in gardening and would like his assistants to share this interest. The assistance includes daily routines at home, providing support during meals, and assisting with personal hygiene. The chemistry and interaction between you as an assistant and the man are crucial for the quality and experience of the work. Who are you as an applicant?

We are looking for someone who is social, attentive, and flexible, with personal suitability for the role. For us, this means you are responsible, patient, and empathetic. We are looking for someone aged between 40-55 years. It is important that you are punctual and can keep to schedules, but also flexible enough to step in occasionally to cover staffing gaps. We seek someone who is calm and secure and enjoys helping the man with his rehabilitation training, which is an important part of his daily life. It is desirable that you have good physical fitness as there will be some heavy lifting, and that your personality is positive and solution-oriented. The man's sister is his legal guardian and supervisor and lives next door. She is always available if you need to ask questions or need help with anything related to the assistance.

Regular workplace meetings are held where the development of the assignment takes place. Ongoing professional development occurs within the role. It is desirable that you are a non-smoker.

About the employment

The position is 70% with additional hours as needed. Working hours are between 08:00-16:30 or 08:30-18:00 on weekdays and every other Saturday and Sunday during the day. We apply a fixed-term employment form "as long as the assignment lasts" as well as hourly employment. We offer a fixed hourly wage according to agreement. Other compensations are according to collective agreements.
