As part of Novum Assistans, you will be involved as an employee through regular workplace meetings where the development of assignments takes place. We, as an assistance company, create conditions for the tasks that assistance requires, in ongoing competence development based on the needs of the assignment. As an assistant, you will thus have the opportunity for personal development both as an individual and in your professional role as a personal assistant.

Who are you as an applicant?

Do you want to work as a personal assistant to a soon-to-be 7-year-old girl? Or perhaps you know someone who would be suitable as a personal assistant? If so, you will work with a cheerful girl full of mischief who loves to be independent! Due to her disability, she needs help with everything in daily life and has a great need for many aids such as a wheelchair, standing frame, orthoses, visual support, etc.

We are looking for someone who has personal suitability for the assignment. You are stress-resistant, responsible, meticulous, punctual, flexible, and attentive. It is advantageous if you are a childcare worker or nursing assistant. It is important that you are in good physical shape as there is a lot of play and training on the floor, as well as many lifts. A requirement is that you are a non-smoker. We prefer that you, as an applicant, are a woman. You must master the Swedish language fully in both speech and writing. It is beneficial if you know or have experience with TAKK - Signs as Alternative and Complementary Communication, as well as experience with tube feeding.

The work is primarily scheduled for weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Longer working days may be relevant during holidays! There may be opportunities for expansion in the future.

The family lives in a house about ten kilometers west of Örebro; there is a county bus, but it is helpful if you have your own car.

About the employment

We apply a fixed-term employment form "as long as the assignment lasts" as well as hourly employment. We offer a fixed hourly wage according to agreement. Other compensation according to collective agreements. The selection process is ongoing, and more information will be provided during a potential interview. Start date will be agreed upon.

For employment with Novum Assistans, you are required to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. According to the law (2010:479), regarding background checks of personnel who will perform certain services for children with disabilities, we as employers are required to request a background extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years. The background extract must be submitted to us as the employer before starting employment. You will order the background extract yourself according to LSS from the police.
