Novum is a nationwide assistance provider that operates based on a Christian value foundation with the ambition to make a difference for the individual, the industry, and society.

We are looking for someone who is caring and has a personality suitable for the assignment. The shifts are distributed across morning/afternoon/evening/night/weekend. You, together with the guardian, will agree on how the shifts should be distributed. The position is 50%. As a person, you need to be flexible and able to step in and swap, or take extra shifts when one of your colleagues is unable to work. We are also looking for someone who can be a substitute as needed.

As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, flexible, attentive, and used to taking your own initiative. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a personal assistant. You must master the Swedish language fully in both speech and writing. It is desirable that you have good physical condition, are cheerful and positive, and have a sense of humor. Non-smoker is a requirement.

We offer a rewarding and developing job with a cheerful 10-year-old boy who lives with his mom and dad, little brother, and little sister in a house in Örebro. The boy has significant assistance needs in all daily tasks, including communication, feeding, and training. He is very social and enjoys singing, playing, reading, and having fun. He has epilepsy, a PEG feeding tube, and uses a wheelchair. During the day, the boy attends school.

It is good if you enjoy working in a structured way, are energetic, proactive, and creative. The most important thing is that you and the client get along well and that you are willing to learn the routines that exist in the workplace. We hope you will stay in the assignment for a long time, as continuity and attachment are important for the boy.

Regular workplace meetings take place where the development of the assignment occurs. We, as an assistance company, create conditions for the tasks that the assistance requires, in ongoing competence development based on the needs of the assignment. As an assistant, you will thus have the opportunity for personal development both as an individual and in your professional role as a personal assistant.

We apply a fixed-term employment form "as long as the assignment lasts" as well as hourly employment. We offer a fixed hourly wage according to agreement. Other compensations are according to collective agreements. The selection process takes place continuously, and more information will be provided at a possible interview. Start date will be agreed upon. For employment with Novum Assistans, you are required to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. According to the law (2010:479), regarding background checks of personnel who will perform certain services for children with disabilities, we as the employer are required to request a background extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. The background extract must be submitted to us as the employer before starting employment. You will order the background extract yourself according to LSS from the police.
