About the position

In the role of curator with us, you will be part of the school's student health team together with the principal, special educators, and school nurses. A school psychologist and school doctor are also associated with the school's student health team. You will work with promoting, preventive, and supportive measures, individually and in groups, as well as support for the school's staff, students, and parents. With us, there is a great drive and a strong willingness to collaborate and develop the operations. We are a committed student health team with good cooperation around our work and our students. Examples of tasks:

• you conduct support, motivational, crisis, and conflict conversations as well as investigative, advisory, and processing conversations with individual students and their families
• you initiate and participate in networking around students
• you map and assess the social situation outside of school for individual students
• you work with groups in acute needs and for preventive purposes
• you work based on proven knowledge theory and evidence-based methods
• you participate in the work of establishing, implementing, and revising action plans
• you provide professional guidance and consultation to school staff
• you contribute with a social and psychosocial perspective in the development of the educational activities
• you are familiar with and follow the applicable laws, policies, and routines of the operations
• you use and document in the existing operational systems

About the workplace

Norrbyskolan is a F-6 school operated as an intrapreneurship, which means a form of greater freedom and responsibility regarding finances, budget, and personnel issues. The school has grown in recent years and has currently about 670 students. We have our own rooms for home economics, art, and science, and we continuously work with Life Skills.

The school is located in the north of Örebro and is close to both the city center and beautiful natural areas. Our students are distributed among four preschool classes, twelve classes in grades 1-3, and ten classes in grades 4-6. Our staff is divided into working teams based on grade levels with about 10 employees in each.

Within the Preschool and Primary School Administration, about 4530 employees work. We meet the young people of Örebro from the first day of preschool to the last day of primary school. We are jointly responsible for contributing to creating equal conditions for the young people of Örebro and laying the foundation for a learning process that extends throughout life. Qualifications

As a curator with us, it is important that you are secure, stable, and can relate in a way that is adapted to the situation. You have good collaboration skills and can create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We see that you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You have the ability to adapt your work based on the given situation and have an understanding that everyone you meet in your work has different conditions. As a curator, you take responsibility for your task and contribute to a calm and safe school environment for both students and colleagues. You need to be able to independently make psychosocial assessments and investigations and analyze needs at the organizational, group, and individual levels. The role requires sensitivity and a good ability to communicate and collaborate with the individual, relatives, and other partners around the individual.

Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with students and other staff and that you can document in writing what the operations require.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• degree in social work 210 credits

Meritorious:

• experience working as a school curator
• experience working with children and adolescents

Scope and start date

Employment form: temporary position from January to June 30, 2025

Employment rate: 75%

Start date: as soon as possible, by agreement
