ABOUT THE POSITION

We now have a vacant position to offer you who are seeking a new challenge as a Personal Assistant to one of our female clients in her 50s with ALS, living in Örebro!

Here, you have the opportunity to make a difference in this woman's life so she can live a life as close to normal as possible! You will be offered a fun and varied job in terms of tasks and pace, no day is the same as the other.

Your workplace is her home and wherever else she may be. You assist her in daily life by performing tasks she cannot do herself, such as nursing, personal hygiene, transfers, cooking, household chores, assistance with leisure activities, etc.

The working hours are scheduled according to a rotating schedule day, evening, and every other weekend. It is also important that you can step in as a substitute in case of illness, leave, or other vacancies! You will be part of a team of personal assistants selected by and for your specific client. It is therefore incredibly important to have a good work ethic, where everyone supports each other and can work on short notice when needed, e.g. due to illness or similar.

Personal suitability and interpersonal chemistry are of great importance.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You need to be quick-witted, have a good approach and be attentive, understanding, patient, and skilled at collaborating. You have the ability to take initiative, be self-reliant, and communicate directly, clearly, and honestly.

You must be able to speak and read Swedish fluently.

It is important that you have a solution-focused approach to work and can see different possibilities and solutions when a problem arises.

There are also tasks involving the handling of lifts, hoists, and suction machines, so if you have experience in this, it is a plus. You must also be able to adapt to the individual's own pace, which varies from day to day. Depending on the circumstances.

You have a genuine interest and sense of care for people, with a professional approach. You also have a flexible and independent way of working and find it easy to adapt to new situations. You can take responsibility as you work based on the individual's needs. You should also have good skills in documentation.

Other qualities that are good for the job are a good mood, calmness, patience, and being responsible. You must be able to speak fluent Swedish as this is a job where good communication is very important.

It is a great advantage if you have experience in working within personal assistance and insight into what ALS is as a disease and how it manifests.

Because we care about the safety and security of our clients, we have a routine of obtaining extracts from the criminal records of all persons employed in the company. This means that when you are employed, we will request an extract from you before you can start working.

Entry is by agreement, but we prefer that you can start training immediately.
