About the Role

As a Scientist in our R&D team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) while driving continuous process improvements. You’ll work in cross-functional teams with experts in organic chemistry and process technology, upholding the highest standards in science, innovation, and quality.

This is a full-time position based in Karlskoga.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll contribute as a Responsible Chemist for commercial products manufactured at our large-scale plants. Your tasks will include process development, troubleshooting, and collaboration across regulatory, engineering, and chemistry disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

- Acting as Responsible Chemist for large-scale API production and participating in cross-functional product groups.

- Providing chemical expertise to support all parts of the company and ensure process understanding.

- Improving existing manufacturing processes with a focus on quality and environmental sustainability.

- Planning, executing, and documenting laboratory work, including synthetic method development, participate in method transfer and scale-up activities.

- Conducting quality risk assessments for process changes and deviations to ensure product safety for patients.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

- A Master's or a Ph. D. degree in chemistry, preferably in Organic Chemistry.

- Experience in the chemical process industry or cGMP manufacturing (preferred but not required).

- Proficiency with IT systems and an interest in technology-driven solutions.

- Good written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Swedish is a plus.
