We are looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for a man in his 60s. The man lives in a house just outside Kumla. The man is interested in gardening and would like his assistants to share his interest. The assistance includes daily routines at home, being a support in meal situations, and taking care of personal hygiene. The personal chemistry and interaction between you as an assistant and the man are crucial for the quality and experience of the work. Who are you as an applicant?

We are looking for someone who is social, attentive, and flexible, who has a personal suitability for the assignment. For us, this means that you are responsible, patient, and empathetic. It is important that you are punctual and can keep to schedules but also flexible to sometimes step in to cover staffing gaps. We are looking for someone who is calm and confident and enjoys helping the man with his rehabilitation training, which is an important part of the man's daily life. It is desirable that you have good physical fitness as there are some heavy lifting involved, that your personality is positive and solution-oriented. The man's sister is the legal guardian and supervisor and lives next door to him. She is always available if you need to ask or get help with anything related to the assistance.

Regular workplace meetings take place where the development of the assignment occurs. Competence development takes place continuously in the assignment. It is desirable that you are a non-smoker.

About the employment

The position is at 70% with additional hours when needed. Working hours are between 08:00-16:30 or 08:30-18:00 on weekdays and every other Saturday and Sunday daytime. We apply a temporary employment form "as long as the assignment lasts" as well as hourly employment. We offer a fixed hourly wage by agreement. Other benefits according to collective agreement.
