Turebergsskolan is a school located within walking distance of Sollentuna center. Approximately 230 students in grades F-9 attend the school. We also have an RN unit with approximately 25 students with mobility impairments, as well as municipality-wide teaching groups for approximately 40 students within the autism spectrum. The school has a well-functioning values-based work and actively works to create an accessible school for every student, and our employees are characterized by great engagement and high competence. We work every day preventively and compensatorily to support students' social and knowledge development. We are the small school with big opportunities!

Job Responsibilities

As a student assistant at Turebergsskolan, your task is to work closely with a primary school student. The student needs support in social interaction with others and in their knowledge development. During school hours, you will collaborate with the responsible teacher in the class. In the afternoons, you will also be present at the leisure center.

You need to see learning in play. Through your teaching and activities, you create conditions for the student to succeed. In your teaching, you use visual aids and digital tools as a natural part of creating conditions for learning and development.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have documented experience working closely with students and student-related professions, and who have a secure, methodical, and relationally competent foundation. You need to be able to work structured and independently as well as in a team, and be sensitive and fine-tune your approach to the individual. It is of great importance that you consider collaboration between home and school to be an important factor for students' learning.

Requirements

• Experience working as a student assistant in primary school or adapted primary school.
• Experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities.

Merits

• Experience working with non-verbal/alternative speaking students (e.g., AAC, PECS, PECS).
• Experience working in a multicultural environment.
