Your Workplace

The Nephrology Clinic is part of the Medical Specialties area and consists of approximately 140 employees. The clinic conducts broad nephrological activities with three dialysis units in Karlstad, Arvika, and Torsby, as well as a Nephrology Outpatient Clinic, Home Dialysis Clinic, and Ward 33 with 18 beds for nephrology and internal medicine. Here, we work closely together with the patient in focus and with a strong commitment to quality, development, and collaboration. We are now looking for a manager for Ward 33.

Your Responsibilities

As Department Manager, you are responsible for Ward 33 with a focus on nephrology and internal medicine, working together with your employees to provide high-quality care.

You are offered a varied job where you, together with engaged colleagues and staff, work with business development, strengthened quality, and patient safety. As Department Manager, you are responsible for planning, coordination, quality assurance, and development of the operations, choosing working methods that take advantage of the employees' competence, engagement, and participation. The role includes personnel, budget, and operational responsibility. In your assignment, you have close cooperation with the Business Manager and the Assistant Department Manager, who serve as administrative support and collaboration partners in daily work.

You are part of the Nephrology Leadership Group together with other managers within the operation and report to the Business Manager. In your role, you also have access to support functions such as HR and financial controllers. As a manager in the region, you will have access to both training to support you in your management role and individual support in your role as a manager/leader.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a nurse with a genuine interest in management and development within healthcare. Leadership training and experience of kidney care are meritorious.

We see that you are an engaged and driven person who thrives working both independently and in close collaboration with others. You have strong communication skills, can make decisions, and are clear in your leadership. You are sensitive to the needs of the operations and employees and actively work to lead and develop your team.
