We are now looking for an Assistant Department Manager for the Dermatology Clinic in Värmland, a unit with high medical competence, a strong patient focus, and a great commitment to development. Your workplace

The Dermatology Clinic in Värmland has a county-wide responsibility. Outpatient services are located at the Dermatology and STI Clinic at the Central Hospital in Karlstad. The unit has treatment centers in five different locations in the county. The clinic has 46 employees.

The Dermatology Clinic in Region Värmland offers specialist care in dermatology and venereology for the entire county. The unit is characterized by high medical competence, close collaboration between professions, and a strong focus on patient needs. Here, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and care administrators work in a modern and development-oriented unit.

Your responsibilities

As Assistant Department Manager, you are an important part of the clinic's management and work closely with the Department Manager and the Operations Manager. You have operational leadership responsibility and contribute to ensuring a good work environment, high quality, and efficient operational development.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Management and coordination of daily operations.
  • Scheduling.
  • Induction and competence development of employees.
  • Work environment activities.
  • Operational planning and follow-up of goals and results.
  • Participation in improvement and development work.
  • Collaboration with internal and external healthcare providers.

The nursing duties include outpatient work such as assisting with examinations, outpatient surgeries, conducting your own nurse-led clinics, as well as working with telephone advice and administration.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a registered nurse.
  • Have experience working in healthcare.
  • Have good communication skills and a genuine interest in leadership.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Previous managerial or leadership experience.
  • Experience in change and improvement work as well as scheduling.
  • Leadership training.

To succeed in the role, you are secure, clear, and present in your leadership. You are collaborative and have a good ability to create and develop relationships. Furthermore, you are structured with a good ability to prioritize, and you are engaged in development and quality issues. You are also receptive and unpretentious, with a clear focus on the best interests of the unit.
