Your Assignment
As Municipal Manager, you are the municipality's highest-ranking official and are responsible for translating political will into concrete operations and long-term results.

You lead the municipality's management group, develop the organization, and ensure that the municipality continues to deliver high-quality welfare and sound financial management.

You become a key link between politics and administration and represent the municipality in dialogue with residents, businesses, authorities, and regional partners.

The assignment includes, among other things:

  • Leading and developing the municipality's operations through managers.
  • Continuing to create good conditions for cooperation between politics and administration.
  • Ensuring long-term economic sustainability.
  • Driving development and change with clear anchoring.
  • Strengthening the municipality's attractiveness and growth.
  • Developing collaboration with businesses, the region, and other actors.
  • Being responsible for the municipality's preparedness and security work.

  • Several years of experience in qualified leadership.
  • Experience leading other managers.
  • Documented experience in operational and financial management.

  • Strong commitment to working in the municipality you lead.

A role with great trust
As Municipal Manager, you have a central role in the municipality's leadership and responsibility for issues concerning vital societal functions, security, and preparedness. Therefore, the position is security-classified. A security investigation with register check will be conducted prior to employment according to the Security Protection Act. Swedish citizenship is a requirement for the position.
