The changing global situation means that our defense needs to be strengthened, and the increased intelligence activity directed against Sweden and the Swedish Armed Forces is extensive. The Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must) conducts defense intelligence and military intelligence and security services to support Swedish foreign, defense, and security policy, as well as to map external threats against Sweden.

 

Main Responsibilities

At the Cooperation Unit, you contribute to the development of Must by driving and coordinating work on external collaborations. The role involves handling issues and processes with an international focus and contributing to Must's strategic and operational cooperation with international actors.

 

Examples of tasks include:

 

  • Develop, coordinate, and follow up on the organization's international collaborations
  • Prepare and handle matters with an international focus and produce relevant background materials
  • Coordinate contacts, meetings, and activities with international partners
  • Cooperate internally and externally on issues related to the organization's international activities
  • Lead the preparation of matters with an international focus at Must

The work involves business travel, requiring a high level of security awareness and independent work.

About the Unit

Must's international collaborations are led by the Cooperation Unit. Our staff have diverse backgrounds, knowledge, and competencies that enable us to solve the tasks that arise within the operations. We are responsible, among other things, for planning and implementing Must's international activities.

With an analytical approach and a good overall understanding of the operations, you can identify connections, handle complex information, and turn analyses into well-founded assessments and decisions.

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in a social science subject or higher executive education from the Swedish National Defence College
  • Experience from working with defense intelligence agencies
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

Merits:

  • Several years of experience in intelligence positions, preferably at a strategic level
  • Experience from work with an international character
  • Experience from working with military strategic issues at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters
  • Experience working as an analyst within a government agency
  • Experience working with EU/NATO issues
  • Language skills beyond Swedish and English

 

The qualifications listed above must be verifiable upon request through certificates, references, and work or selection tests.

Personal qualities are given great weight.
