Supporting the target group of job seekers, both individually and in groups, could be your next challenge!

Steps to Work (STA) is a valuable and high-quality service procured by the Swedish Public Employment Service. The ultimate goal is to identify resources and support needs and to strengthen and develop the participant within a cohesive process, with the aim of starting a job or education.

The target group is outside the labor market for various reasons and needs adapted labor market preparatory measures to achieve self-sufficiency.

Your main assignment will be to ensure that participants in the project increase their activity level, thereby achieving the service's goal of moving closer to a job or education.

Responsibilities:

• Scheduling and planning work with participants
• Conducting competence mapping to visualize the participant's skills, prerequisites, and interests related to the labor market
• Providing support during activity execution
• Coaching and supporting in the assignment and at real workplaces
• Varying activities and support based on participants' needs, focusing on their background, prerequisites, and needs – linked to their target profession
• Conducting lectures and individual conversations to cover various self-strengthening areas
• Responsible for follow-ups at participants' work trial sites
• Responsible for ensuring that jointly set goals after each part of the service are followed up and documented
• Collaboration with colleagues such as licensed occupational therapists, study and career counselors, and language support

To succeed in your assignment, we assess that you need a broad experience base regarding the above areas and have access to a solid personal toolbox to draw knowledge and working methods from.

You are responsible for our reporting to the client, so a strong interest in documentation will facilitate your work. The assignment involves many contacts within and outside the organization, so you need to be good at building trusting relationships with people.

At AKG Sweden, we work in teams. In the role of Work Consultant, you are responsible, together with a licensed occupational therapist, to ensure that through our internal processes we deliver a result we are proud of. You are also part of the ongoing development work.

Basic competence requirements

• At least 2 years of full-time university or university college education in sociology, behavioral science, pedagogy, or medicine
• 1 year of experience (at least part-time) in individual or group guidance/coaching of persons with mental or physical illness or disability during the last 3 years.

Employment conditions

• Permanent employment with a 6-month probation period
• Full-time position
• Individual salary setting
• Start: After agreement
