The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse issues. Job Description

SiS is looking for a lawyer to join the Agency's Personnel Responsibility Board, placed within the Legal Department, specifically the Section for Agency Law.

The Legal Department is divided into four sections. In addition to the Section for Agency Law, the department consists of the Section for Operational Law, the Section for Information Supply, and the Section for Registry and Public Documents. Work at the Legal Department is characterized by high accessibility to operations, as we work broadly across the entire agency. The Section for Agency Law is responsible for legal steering, supporting operations in legal matters that are agency-wide, and developing and monitoring the agency's joint decision-making and preparation processes.

The Personnel Responsibility Board is an employer body that makes decisions, several of which involve the exercise of public authority. The Board exercises certain powers that the employer has in relation to employees, observing the requirements of impartiality and objectivity set out in the Instrument of Government. The Board's decisions are to be regarded as decisions made by the employer side in an employer-employee relationship.

Your tasks will primarily consist of preparing cases, producing decision materials, drafting minutes, and ensuring that case handling is conducted in an equal, efficient, and legally secure manner. You will provide advice and support to operations in choice-of-path questions with the aim of quality-assuring the investigation that forms the basis for a report to the Board. Your duties also include annually compiling case law in the field. Additionally, some development work is included, such as creating procedures for case handling and training in the area.

Your tasks will involve close collaboration with the HR Department, as the Personnel Responsibility Board's decisions are an important part of the agency's employer policy.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• A Law Degree comprising at least 270 ECTS credits
• Notarial qualifications from a general court or an administrative court
• Good communication skills, both oral and written, in Swedish

Meritorious if you have:

• Experience as a presenter at the Labour Court or the Administrative Court of Appeal
• Acquired knowledge through work within labor law or social law
• Good knowledge of SiS operations
• Experience in training

As a person, you have good collaboration skills. Furthermore, you are meticulous and have an aptitude for structuring complex problems. You are a driven individual with an independent working style, and your work maintains high quality. You have good communication skills and the ability to explain legal issues in a simple and easily understandable way. It is important that you thrive working at a high pace. Employment

The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probationary period.

Start date: As soon as possible, according to agreement.

Location: Solna. Travel may occur in the role.
