Then the position of Evaluator at Sida might be for you!
About the Job
We are currently seeking 1–2 senior evaluators. The positions are located in the Evaluation Team within the Results Division at the Unit for Method, Results and Evaluation. Sida's evaluation team consists of five employees and is led by a Chief Evaluator. The role involves supporting operational divisions and overseas missions, designing and project-managing Sida's strategic evaluations, developing methods for Sida's evaluations, and promoting learning from evaluations. We offer a developing and varied position in a dynamic and active unit.
You will work at our office in Rissne, Sundbyberg.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice on evaluation to case officers and managers at Sida and embassies
- Plan and coordinate Sida's strategic evaluations
- Contribute to method development within evaluation at Sida
- Promote learning from evaluations within the agency and spread knowledge about evaluation
- Identify strategic evaluation needs within the agency

Qualifications
Education
- An academic degree at doctoral level, or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way.
Languages
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing (C1).
- Very good ability to express yourself in English, both orally and in writing (C2).
Professional Experience and Knowledge
- Extensive experience and knowledge of evaluation in complex operations/environments.
- Knowledge of and experience in working with quantitative methods and advanced data analysis.
- Experience and good knowledge of development issues and international development cooperation.
- Experience in advisory roles and supporting learning.

The following qualifications are meritorious for this role:
- Experience in evaluating development cooperation
- In-depth knowledge of evaluation theory and methodology, particularly impact evaluation, including rigorous experimental methods, quantitative or qualitative methods.
- In-depth knowledge of communication and facilitating learning processes.
- In-depth knowledge of areas prioritized by the government for Swedish development cooperation.
- Experience of agile team collaboration.
Good to Know
The positions are permanent with immediate start. Probationary employment applies.
Sida offers the possibility of remote work to some extent if it works for the operations.
