What we do and want
We are looking for two employment consultants for the Employment Unit (AME). Here, you will have a broad and meaningful role where you coach adult residents of Tyresö towards work or studies. Our goal is to help more Tyresö residents take the step into the labor market.
The Employment Unit exists for Tyresö residents who need extra support on the path to work, studies, or other benefits, and we also manage the municipality's summer job process for young people. We always start from the premise that everyone wants and can contribute to the labor market, and our work rests on a few clear principles: work and study focus from day one, that the individual owns their own planning, and that we are there as support and sounding board. We work based on evidence-based methods such as motivational interviewing, Supported Employment, Supported Education, and Case Management.
About the position
As an employment consultant, you will work with the following among other things:
Coaching for work and studies. You meet with Tyresö residents who need support on the way to work, studies, or other benefits. Together you map out the current situation and next steps, create an employment plan, and follow it continuously. You build relationships where the individual feels safe and involved, while keeping the direction towards the goal: self-sufficiency through work or studies.
Employer contact. You work actively with employer contacts. You enjoy establishing new collaborations with employers, maintaining and preserving existing employer contacts, selling participants to employers, working with matches that are good for both Tyresö residents and employers, and supporting the start of internships and employment so that they last and become long-term positions.
Group activities. You also work with holding group activities focused on helping our Tyresö residents take the next step towards work and studies.
Summer jobs. One of the positions will also, for part of the year, be involved in the work with the municipality's summer job process. This means seeking out and building relationships with workplaces within the municipality, the association life, and business life to create more summer job placements. As well as matching young people (16–17 years old) to the right place based on their conditions and special needs. This also involves administrative tasks in digital systems, such as matching, documentation, and follow-up, as well as administration regarding wage payments.
The positions are within the unit as a whole and involve participating in and driving development work where exact tasks may vary over time based on the operation's needs and development.
As a municipality, we also strengthen our joint work with "Developing Employment" – a concept and approach based on curiosity, responsibility, collaboration, and the courage to try new ideas. Here, you have the opportunity to influence, develop, and together with your colleagues create the best solutions for our residents and the operation.
Who are you?
You have an academic education, e.g., in social work, behavioral science, personnel/HR, pedagogical education, study and career guidance, or another direction we consider equivalent. You have experience in guidance, coaching, recruitment, or similar work towards the labor market.
You enjoy supporting people into working life or studies, building relationships, and working with employer contacts. You are also interested in holding group activities. As a person, you are preferably structured and enjoy driving processes, while being flexible when daily life requires it. You are team-oriented, unpretentious, and thrive in a team where we help each other.
It is meritorious if you have experience with the Swedish Public Employment Service's processes or with evidence-based methods such as motivational interviewing (MI), Supported Employment (SE), Supported Education (SEd), or Case Management (CM).
It is also meritorious if you speak more languages than Swedish/English, e.g., Arabic, Dari, Persian, Tigrinya, and Somali.
