Business Developer for Children and Youth and the Social Services Department, focusing on a new social services model and child and youth issues.
We have begun the exciting transition towards a new social services model focused on citizens' needs, offering a more accessible, equitable, and evidence-based social service. Do you want to strengthen the quality of social work through systematic, knowledge-driven development? As one of our current business developers goes on parental leave, we are now looking for an engaged and strategic Business Developer who can translate theory into practice across the entire Social Services Department.
About the role
As a Business Developer, you will play a central role in driving, coordinating, and supporting evidence-based work within the Social Services Department, together with other business developers across all our result areas and the support staff.
Your assignment involves, among other things, translating research, proven experience, and local knowledge into concrete development in daily operations. You will work closely with both managers and employees, contributing to creating a learning organization where systematic approaches, quality, and participation are central. You will support managers and employees in anchoring and implementing knowledge management, systematic improvement work, and methods aligned with the intentions of the new legislation.
Your responsibilities
As a Business Developer, you lead and support the organization in quality, improvement, and development work. This role includes, among other things:
- Leading and supporting development and improvement work in line with national guidelines and evidence-based methods
- Monitoring the external environment and summarizing new legislation, current research, national guidelines, and policy frameworks
- Facilitating workshops, training, and process support to enhance professional learning
- Working with the implementation and management of quality systems
- Monitoring and evaluating methods and approaches
- Implementing and de-implementing methods and approaches
- Collaborating with the joint development of the entire Social Services Department
- Developing common working methods across area boundaries, for example, family-oriented approaches
- Leading processes and working on process development
Who are you?
As a Business Developer, you need to have a relevant university degree as well as several years of experience working with children and youth within social services. The role involves close collaboration primarily with the leadership group of Children and Youth, but also with other business and quality developers within the Social Services Department. You must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and you need the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Requirements
- Relevant university education, such as a social work degree or another education deemed relevant by the employer, for example, in behavioral science or political science
- Several years of experience in social services work with children and youth
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Independent with strong ability to drive processes, create structure, and build trust
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Merits

- Knowledge of national work on knowledge management and the transition to the new Social Services Act
