Do you want to be the manager's primary support in employer issues and contribute to stability, quality, and security in an agency with an important societal mission?

We are looking for an experienced and relationship-oriented HR Partner who wants to work closely with our managers and be a central part of the development of leadership, employee engagement, and a professional HR function.

About Us

The Swedish Schools Inspectorate (Skolinspektionen) works to ensure that all children and students receive an equitable and high-quality education. Our HR unit consists of eleven employees with various areas of expertise – labor law, working environment, talent acquisition, managerial support, organizational development, and HR administration. Together, we form a strong team that works close to the operations and contributes to creating a sustainable, modern, and legally secure agency.

As an HR Partner, you will become an important part of the unit and work in an environment where collaboration, quality, and development are in focus. You are given great scope to influence how the HR work is shaped and how our managers are supported in their employer responsibilities.

The Role of HR Partner

As an HR Partner, you play a key role in strengthening managers in their employer responsibilities. You act as their primary advisor on employer issues and ensure that leadership, working environment, rehabilitation, and personnel processes run smoothly in everyday life. You actively contribute to talent acquisition and provide support in all types of HR-related questions.

You are also a driving force in development projects within the HR field and ensure that the agency's employer policy is translated into practical action that makes a difference in operations.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university or college degree in HR, behavioral science, or a university/college education that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in broad HR work in a larger organization.
  • Current experience working in public sector operations.
  • Documented experience in providing consultative managerial support in complex HR issues.
  • Experience in translating operational needs into practical HR solutions.
  • Ability to build trust, security, and long-term relationships.
  • Very good communication skills in both speech and writing.

Meritorious:

  • Experience working in a government agency.
  • Experience working in an HR organization with specialist functions.
  • Experience in change management and development projects.

You are confident and experienced within the profession, thrive in close collaboration with managers, build relationships easily, and have a natural ability to create trust. Your sensitivity and lack of pretension make others eager to turn to you for both everyday and more complex issues.

You work analytically and systematically, while also being solution-oriented and proactive. You take initiative, drive issues forward, and have the ability to navigate independently in a dynamic and knowledge-intensive environment.

To thrive in the role of HR Partner with us, you need to appreciate a role where relationships, quality, and professional judgment are central.

The role suits you if you:

  • Enjoy working closely with managers and being their primary support in employer issues.
  • Thrive switching between operational and more tactical HR work.
  • Easily build trust even in sensitive dialogues.
  • Are motivated by quality and legal security in HR processes.
  • Want to contribute in a knowledge-intensive environment where you both learn and share.
  • Are self-reliant but team-oriented and thrive in a team with a strong sense of camaraderie.
  • Can see the big picture and translate HR strategy into concrete action.

We Offer

  • Meaningful work where you contribute to strengthening the quality of Swedish schools.
  • An HR unit with strong collaboration, high competence, and good atmosphere.
  • Opportunity to influence and develop HR work in an agency with an important societal mission.
  • Secure employment conditions and benefits according to collective agreements.

The Position

The position is a permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period. The scope is full-time. Interviews may be held on an ongoing basis.

We work competency-based and have therefore chosen to omit the cover letter. We want you to upload an updated CV that clearly describes your experience, competence, and education, and to fill in the selection questions included in the application.
