Sundbyberg Municipality is now looking for an Economic Strategist who wants to combine strategic economic management and development work with operationally close analyses. Here you get the opportunity to work in a data-driven manner, influence at the group level, and contribute to well-founded decisions that make a difference for both the organization and the residents.
In this role, you will have a broad and developmental assignment where you work both strategically and operationally with the city's economic management from a group perspective. You drive the development of economic reporting and follow-up, coordinate group-wide reporting, financing issues, and act as a key link between the city and the municipal companies.
A central part of the role is the analysis-based and data-driven work. You are driving the development of data-driven work in the city and conduct qualified analyses, comparisons, and impact assessments where you use key figures, statistics, and operational data to identify trends, risks, and development opportunities. Through your work, you strengthen the organization's ability to make fact-based and long-term sustainable decisions. You also get the opportunity to develop methods and approaches within economic management and follow-up processes, conduct investigations, and prepare decision support materials for political leadership.

We are looking for you with relevant higher education/university degree for the position within, for example, economics or statistics. You have several years of experience in qualified economic work, preferably within the public sector.
Meritorious if you have experience working with financing issues. You are a driven and engaged person who works in a structured and methodical way to achieve success in your tasks. At the same time, you have a strong development focus and the ability to think innovatively and take initiative. You have a strong analytical mind and the ability to see the big picture while being able to delve into details.
As a person, you are solution-oriented, responsible, and a skilled communicator, with ease in collaborating and building trusting relationships. The role requires that you master Swedish fluently in speech and writing. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

The position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date by agreement. Probation period may apply.
