About Åsedaskolan

Åsedaskolan is located in a beautiful natural setting, benefiting from the advantages of a smaller school. We are just minutes from nature, with a nice jogging track, an ice hall, and large green areas. The school has a high proportion of qualified teachers, and many have worked at the school for a long time. This autumn, we will have newly renovated premises for crafts and art, and the music rooms will be renovated this summer.

The lower secondary school has approximately 170 students distributed across three parallel classes in each year group. Work is conducted in teams with a focus on the students' best interests. We also collaborate with Åsedaskolan F-6, which is located adjacent to the lower secondary school. A school nurse and a counselor are available at the school, and together with special education teachers, the principal, and special educators, they participate in the school's student health team, which meets once a week. The school also has a safety team that meets regularly.

Responsibilities

Åsedaskolan grades 7-9 is looking for a student assistant who will serve as a resource person in various classes, focusing on students based on individual needs. You will support students during lesson time, but also during breaks and in the cafeteria. In your work, you will base your approach on each student's prerequisites and needs, which may vary from day to day. You will collaborate with educators, students, and guardians and participate in planned meetings. The work may also involve performing other tasks required by the operation, such as resolving conflicts, substituting for absent teachers, and providing homework help.

Qualifications

You are solution-focused and see opportunities, are flexible, and can identify the different students' needs. You are a role model for all students at the school, take initiative, and enjoy collaborating. You are professional in your role, take adult responsibility, and are engaged. A prerequisite for doing good work is enjoying working with children/youth, and we would also appreciate if you have experience working with children/youth. You are good at building good relationships and are not afraid to take initiative. You contribute to a good working climate at the workplace.

Employment Terms

• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-08-11 Or by agreement, end date: 2027-06-17.
• Working hours: Daytime.
