The newly built Hjortsberg School for grades 7–9 is centrally located in Ljungby, with green areas nearby and close proximity to a preschool–grade 6 school and an after-school center. Our operations also include access to a sports hall. The new 7–9 school has its own kitchen, dining hall, and five homerooms. The school is designed to accommodate five parallel classes with up to 375 students, but will start with four parallel classes from autumn 2024.

Hjortsberg School is a multicultural school, and we see all students as our students. Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to teach Swedish and work as a special needs teacher (specialpedagog) in grades 7–9 at Hjortsberg School. As a special needs teacher, you plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching. You will work both in the classroom and with students in smaller groups and in individual instruction.

Shared mentorship is included in the position. Other subject combinations, French, or Home and Consumer Studies may also be relevant.

Qualifications

You who apply should be trained as a special needs teacher for grades 7–9 and have a teaching license. However, those with other education or experience are also welcome to apply. Great emphasis is placed on teamwork skills and the ability to meet students in groups and individually.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: The position is a permanent position at 75–100% with a start date of 2026-08-10. A teaching license in the correct subject combination is required for a permanent position. The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.
