About Linnéskolan

Linnéskolan is a municipal comprehensive school for grades 7-9. The school is centrally located in Älmhult, and its students come from across the entire municipality. The school currently has approximately 610 students and is expected to grow continuously in the coming years.

The school also includes a special needs comprehensive school for grades 7-9 and Orion, which is our unit for students with diagnoses within NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).

We have strong teacher qualifications, and our students leave school with a high degree of eligibility for upper secondary education.

Job Responsibilities

Linnéskolan is now looking for a teacher to teach mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology in grades 7-9. As a subject teacher, you plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the pedagogical work in collaboration with your colleagues, based on the goals of the operation.

In each work team, we employ full-time mentors who work closely with the students and support them in their social development. The mentor's responsibilities also include holding development talks. This allows you as a teacher to focus on the pedagogical mission. Therefore, mentoring is not part of your duties as a teacher.

There are several subject colleagues at the school, and there is ample space for your personal development as a pedagogue through close collaboration with principals and colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified comprehensive school teacher with the eligibility to teach mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology for grades 7-9.

As a person, you are solution-focused, creative, and pedagogical. You have clear leadership skills and work towards ensuring that each individual student can develop and work towards their goals.

We also value that you are flexible, responsible, and have a strong commitment to your professional role. Furthermore, you thrive in collaboration with others, including colleagues, students, and guardians.

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required for the position. You also have knowledge of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and work well in accordance with our curriculum.
