About the role

Do you want a varied daily routine and to work broadly with study and career guidance? If so, this might be the job for you! As a Study and Career Counselor (SYV) at Hushållningssällskapet Kalmar Kronoberg Blekinge, you are based at Ingelstadgymnasiet but also work with our agricultural high schools in Kalmar and Gamleby two days a week.

Your task is to contribute to our students' goal achievement and completion of their education. You support each individual student in seeing their opportunities and contribute to their sustainable future choices. The focus is on guidance individually and in groups, close collaboration with mentors, and the creation and follow-up of individual study plans. You coordinate and develop the schools' study and career guidance work, both generally and in day-to-day operations. Your duties also include coordinating Ingelstadgymnasiet's adult education, as well as being part of the team working with the admissions process. The role involves close collaboration with school management, teachers, student health services, and guardians. Together with your colleagues, you are also significant in the marketing of our programs.

The assignment involves frequent travel between the schools and to some marketing activities.

About you

We are looking for you who have a degree in study and career guidance. If you also have experience from the green sector, it is an advantage.

You have good knowledge of education within the upper secondary school, knowledge of the labor market, and good knowledge of the rules that apply, for example, regarding final grades, graduation, and eligibility for higher education or other study alternatives. You have good administrative skills and can express yourself well both verbally and in writing.

You have good collaboration skills, a solution-focused approach, and you understand the value of cooperation based on your profession's mission. You have a desire to create good conditions for all our students to reach their goals.

Qualifications:

• You are educated as a study and career counselor.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Experience in the green sector is an advantage.

About Ingelstadgymnasiet

There are just over 290 students at the school, and of these, about 240 live in the school's boarding house. The education we offer is the Agricultural Program with specializations in agriculture, animal care, and horse management, as well as the Construction and Facility Program with a focus on land and facilities. We also offer a natural science profile. The school has extensive practical operations with forest, arable/pasture land, animal stables, animal park, dog facility, and veterinary clinic. Our sister schools, Gamlebygymnasiet and NBG Kalmar, also offer specializations in Ecotourism and Forestry.

Hushållningssällskapet is a knowledge organization. We produce and deliver knowledge for sustainable development and profitability in rural industries. In the household associations across the country, we have approximately 30,000 members and approximately 7,000 employees. To secure the supply of competent workforce for rural industries, we run seven agricultural high schools.
