RESPONSIBILITIES

Gemla School is located approximately 14 km west of Växjö and has around 200 students from preschool class to grade 6. Here, we work close to nature and the environment, and we have a fantastic schoolyard with many opportunities for the students. The school plays a central role in society, and there is great engagement for the school, which is shown, among other things, by our approximately 15 recess buddies engaged in our operations.

Our goal is for Gemla School to be a school for everyone, where every student feels safe, has room for their creativity, and retains their natural curiosity.

We are looking for a qualified teacher for grades 4-6 (Swedish, Math, Social Studies) as a homeroom teacher for one term. You will work closely with other teachers using routines and structures to create the best conditions for our students. Collaboration takes place between classes and teachers. As a teacher, you work based on the school's guiding documents with clear goals, and you stimulate all students to develop. You create engagement, curiosity, and safety, and you are a clear leader.

This is a fixed-term position lasting from 2026-08-10 to 2026-12-22, with the possibility of extension for the spring term 2027.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for you who are a qualified teacher for grades 4-6. You who are studying to become a teacher or who have experience working in schools may also be considered for employment. We would appreciate it if you had experience in similar tasks.

We believe you have good social skills, a professional attitude, teamwork ability, and a good, positive approach towards students, parents, and colleagues. You are open to collegial learning and have good insight into how skilled teaching is conducted. We expect you to be able to work both in a team and independently.
