Welcome to Älmhult Montessori School, covering preschool class to grade 6. We are located in the premises of Klöxhult School in Älmhult. Our school is inspired by Montessori pedagogy and works according to the national curriculum documents. Here, students from preschool class to grade 6 develop in a stimulating and secure environment where learning takes place both independently and in interaction with others.

We work with mixed-age groups, which creates opportunities for students to develop at their own pace, inspire each other, and learn through collaboration. By combining Montessori pedagogy's individualized approach with the goals of the curriculum, we create a learning environment where every student can grow and develop based on their own prerequisites.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a primary school teacher at the Montessori School, you have broad and overall responsibility for teaching in the preschool class. The position includes mentorship duties.

Our pedagogy is based on a common approach and is characterized by a holistic perspective – everything we do is part of a context. During the 2026 school year, the entire school will begin a joint Montessori education program, which involves active engagement in the pedagogy.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a certified primary school teacher with a specialization in grades F-3. It is an advantage if you have Montessori training or experience teaching at a Montessori school.

To thrive at our Montessori School, you must share our pedagogical approach and understand that different children have different prerequisites and abilities, and therefore learn in different ways and at different paces. This requires great patience and humility regarding children's differences. We view children as independent individuals who should be allowed to make their own choices within predetermined frameworks.

You should enjoy collaborating closely with your colleagues and be positively inclined towards developing both yourself and others by sharing your knowledge and learning from others.
