Job Description

Do you want to work at a state-of-the-art school that is relatively new? Then we have the job for you. We are currently looking for three positive, engaged, and qualified teachers for our after-school center (fritidshem) at Paradisskolan. You should have qualifications in a specific subject (e.g., physical education) or be a PE teacher with responsibilities within our after-school center.

The school is located in a beautiful natural area with easy access to amenities. In winter, we offer both an ice rink and sledding, and throughout the year, the forest serves as a natural part of the curriculum. The schoolyard offers fantastic opportunities for various activities – let your imagination run wild. Our indoor facilities provide spacious, modern areas equipped with the latest technology.

Paradisskolan is a grades F–6 school. After the summer, we expect to have approximately 230 students divided into two different units: one unit for students in grades F–1 and another for students in grades 2–6.

As a person, you must enjoy challenges and change, as our conditions due to changes in the student population change at the start of each school year.

Also under the same roof is an adapted school with which we collaborate. Depending on your competence, some collaboration with this unit may be part of your role.

Through your good leadership, you create safety and stimulating days at the school with goal-oriented activities for our students based on the curriculum. You engage in development work together with our other staff and create a good and meaningful after-school activity program. As part of your role, you may serve as a resource in the classrooms during the day, focusing on good study environment and high goal orientation together with the class teacher. If you have qualifications in a specific subject, teaching your own classes may become relevant.

You are part of a well-functioning team working together with other qualified after-school teachers and other pedagogues. Through collegial discussions, you create the best possible conditions for our students.

Qualifications

As a person, you should be flexible and solution-focused in your approach to work. You should be skilled at building relationships and have a positive attitude towards students, guardians, and staff. You should be able to create a good learning climate for our students with a high focus on goals. You should have the ability to plan and implement a very good, varied, and stimulating after-school program for the students. You should continuously evaluate and reflect on the activities.

We are looking for you who are educated and licensed as a teacher for the after-school center (fritidslärare) or have equivalent education with experience.
