RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome to Lammhults School! We are now looking for a teacher in Wood and Metal Technology for the autumn term. The subject of Wood and Metal Technology is an important subject where students get to work practically and test their ideas. The subject is central when it comes to sustainability issues. Therefore, we see that you should be willing to collaborate with other subjects in this area to create holistic learning for our students. Lammhults School is located in the heart of the furniture industry, and as a craft teacher, it is important that you establish contacts for collaboration with local businesses. Through this, we believe students will become more motivated when their work is connected to reality outside of school.

In your role as a Wood and Metal Technology teacher at Lammhults School, we expect you to:

• Develop Wood and Metal Technology teaching through active learning together with colleagues, where you share your experiences and, through a pedagogically challenging approach, support and develop everyone's teaching.
• Be able to create good relationships through curiosity and trust towards students and colleagues, have high expectations and confidence in students' abilities, and have an encouraging and supportive attitude.
• Have versatile teaching with variations in teaching methods, challenges, and adaptations based on each student's prerequisites, with a good connection to students' experiences and curiosity, and be able to demonstrate good connections between your teaching strategies and your students' results.
• Work with student influence in your teaching in such a way that students can develop and own their learning process and receive feedback that moves them forward in their learning. All teaching should aim at each individual student's progressive learning.
• Be able to create a safe and permissive climate in the classroom through clear structure.
• Work to develop teaching so that it is based on scientific foundation and proven experience.

The position is 70% and is a temporary assignment during the autumn term.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with a teaching license and qualifications for teaching Wood and Metal Technology for lower secondary school (grades 7-9).

As a person, you have good pedagogical skills and understanding of people's different prerequisites for acquiring knowledge. You have the ability to see the big picture and view issues from a larger perspective, seeing opportunities in change. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening and flexible manner. In your application, we ask you to attach your license showing your qualifications.

• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.

• Start date: 2026-08-10 or according to agreement.
• End date: 2026-12-31.
