RESPONSIBILITIES
Åryd School is located approximately 15 km east of Växjö. The school is situated in a beautiful natural setting near a lake and forest. At Åryd School, we have students from preschool class through to grade six, as well as an after-school center. There are 15-25 students in each class, totaling 150 students at the school and approximately 80 students at the after-school center. Åryd School offers the many positive advantages of a small school. All staff know all the students, the students know each other, and there are good conditions for good cohesion at the school and within the work team.
Currently, approximately 25 employees work at the school. The entire unit collaborates on both organization and pedagogy, for example, through theme days and activities. We focus heavily on safety and study environment, and on meeting each student based on their needs and strengths. The school's vision is: At Åryd School, everyone thrives and feels safe. Goal achievement is high, and students are well prepared for the future.
Åryd School's after-school center is divided into three departments. Two for the younger students and one for the older ones. There are nine employees working at the after-school center, distributed across the three departments. During school hours, after-school staff are present in the classrooms as extra pedagogical support. The after-school center opens at 6:15 and closes at 18:00. The position may include both opening and closing duties.
We are now looking for an after-school teacher from August 2026 until New Year.
The role involves conducting and evaluating activities at the after-school center, with support from your colleagues. We place great value on your ability to collaborate and build good relationships with both colleagues and students.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for an after-school teacher.
Experience working with children and their development is meritorious.
We are looking for you who want to be part of the after-school activity, a place where students thrive, can be active in their learning, and develop their abilities. You should work from a holistic perspective where both joy and engagement have a place, but also structure and organization are made visible. You are a clear leader and have a professional approach. You have the ability to create a good working climate with colleagues and you readily collaborate in different constellations.
You are engaged and driven when it comes to finding solutions and support for the students. You work structured based on current governing documents. It is important that you have good knowledge of meeting students' different needs based on their different prerequisites.

Duration: 3-6 months, Start date: 2026-08-03 and scope 60 - 100 %.
