RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged and reliable student assistant for Högstorps School for a student with physical disabilities and needs for physical care during the school day. The assignment is both responsible and meaningful, requiring a high degree of professionalism, sensitivity, and teamwork.

As a student assistant, you become an important part of the student's opportunity to participate in teaching, social community, and school life on equal terms.

In this role, you work closely with the student throughout the entire school day. You are responsible for creating safety, involvement, and good conditions for learning and development together with the school staff.

The work includes among other things:

• Support in teaching situations and pedagogical activities
• Physical care and transfers
• Support in communication, structure, and social interaction
• Collaboration with guardians, student health services, and other school staff

You need to be able to translate the student's disability and needs into practical support in the learning environment, so that the student is given the opportunity to be active and involved in the teaching based on their prerequisites.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a student assistant.

We are looking for you who:

• Have experience working with children or young people with disabilities
• Have a good ability to work responsibly, calmly, and structured, even in situations requiring quick decisions
• Are empathetic, professional, and have great respect for students' privacy
• Have good teamwork skills and can build trusting relationships
• See opportunities and solutions in the pedagogical work

Experience from school, care, and social services, or work with alternative communication, is meritorious.

You create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians to promote collaboration between school and home.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
