About the Workplace: Hjortsberg School

The newly built Hjortsberg School for grades 7-9 is centrally located in Ljungby, with green areas nearby and in close proximity to the F-6 school and leisure center. Our operations also have access to a sports hall. The school has its own kitchen, dining room, and five homerooms. The school was designed to accommodate five parallel classes with up to 375 students, but will start with four parallel classes from the autumn of 2024.

Hjortsberg School is a multicultural school, and we see all students as our students. The work environment is characterized by a focus on a good social work environment, security, respect, and cooperation. Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to teach Home Economics and Consumer Knowledge in grades 6-9 at Hjortsberg School. As a teacher, you plan, conduct, and follow up on the teaching. You are part of a work team and collaborate with other teachers in the joint work regarding the students.

Qualifications

You who apply should be a trained teacher in Home Economics and Consumer Knowledge for grades 6-9 and hold a teaching license. Great emphasis is placed on teamwork skills and the ability to meet and live in groups and individually.

The Children and Education Committee wants to utilize the qualities that a balanced gender distribution, ethnic, and cultural diversity bring to the operations.

Employment Terms

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: The position is a fixed-term employment at 30% from 2026-08-11 to 2027-06-12. The position may eventually convert to a permanent position if necessary decisions are made.
