The Unit: Dalregementet

The Swedish Armed Forces defend Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and our right to live as we choose. The establishment of Dalregementet is part of building Sweden's defense capability. Until the regiment has developed to full capacity, including a new regimental area, the operations will be characterized by continuous development and change. Working methods will change over time to adapt to the growing organization and its activities.

About the Education Support Department

The department serves as the regiment's development and education center. Here, officers, specialist officers, and civilians work together to achieve the organization's goals. The department primarily operates in three areas:

• Development: We develop technology, tactics, and combat techniques to meet tomorrow's capability requirements.
• Education: We are responsible for education planning and lead the execution of the infantry battalion as well as the competence development of soldiers, employees, and officers here and now.
• Exercise and Training: We exercise, test, and evaluate both our own units and formations to constantly improve our joint capability.

Main Responsibilities

As a Simulator Technician at Dalregementet, you are an important part of our team that develops new and existing capabilities and adapts and develops land combat to achieve the best possible effect. Your main responsibilities include managing the unit's simulator equipment, operating systems, and training users. The position includes both educational and development responsibilities within the simulator service and its areas of use. You will work in an office environment as well as operationally close and in varying environments, which requires full physical fitness and basic soldier skills.

Qualifications

• Upper secondary education
• Category B driver's license
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Basic level FmfyS (Swedish Armed Forces basic military training)
• Swedish citizenship

Merits

• Completed and approved VPL (Vehicle Pilot License), GMU (General Military Training), or GU (General Officer Training)
• Experience with simulator equipment within the Swedish Armed Forces or other relevant experience in a technical service
• Category C driver's license
• Military driving permit for heavy all-terrain vehicles, tracked vehicles, heavy trucks, and/or tracked vehicles
• Completed overseas service

You are caring without being afraid to set demands; you act when needed. You also have the ability to work independently under your own responsibility.

Other Information

• Employment type: Permanent civil employment starting with a six-month probationary period.
• Service grade: Full-time.
• Working hours: 40 hours/week, daytime Monday-Friday, but service may be scheduled outside regular working hours.
• Work location: Falun, but service at other locations may occur.
• Estimated start date: As soon as possible according to agreement.
• Salary: Individual salary setting is applied within the framework of the Swedish Armed Forces' salary policy.

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit

Dalregementet is one of the Swedish Armed Forces' new-old units with origins dating back to 1625. The regiment was re-established in 2021 following a decision by the Riksdag. Our operations are based in Falun, and we will contribute to the education of soldiers who build the future infantry formations/Army.

An employment with us involves placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required.
