Then you might be the person we are looking for. We are currently seeking a Systems Specialist for the Digital Infrastructure unit.

The Digital Infrastructure unit currently consists of ten employees with broad experience, a strong technical interest, and close collaboration in daily work. Here, you will take significant responsibility and be given the authority required to succeed in the role. The Digital Infrastructure unit is part of the IT and Digitalization Office, which also includes the units Digital Workplace and Collaboration, and Digitalization and Cooperation.

The IT and Digitalization Office has a municipality-wide responsibility for IT and digitalization issues. In this role, you will contribute to new and more efficient working methods as well as smart solutions for the municipality and its residents. Together with the various departments, the office works to create value for both employees and citizens.

Job Description

As a Systems Specialist focusing on data communications and IT security, you will work on analyzing needs, developing proposals, and implementing IT infrastructure and services that support the organization's mission. You will contribute to ensuring that the municipality has a purposeful, secure, and relevant IT infrastructure and platform services that meet the operational needs.

You will act as a crucial bridge between technology and security, focusing on strengthening and protecting our IT infrastructure and services. With broad knowledge in IT and technology, as well as specialized competence in infrastructure, data communications, and IT security, you will translate the needs of the business and IT organization into technically sustainable solutions. You will also work on environmental scanning and operations in the area together with the rest of the team. Together with the group, you will also contribute to describing and developing the infrastructure architecture.

The group you will join works, among other things, with:

• Management of our data communication platforms from Cisco, F5, Infoblox, and Check Point.
• Monitoring and fault resolution, including third-line support.
• Participation in implementation and development projects.
• Environmental scanning and management within data communications and IT security together with others in the team.
• Translating legal requirements and business requirements into technical solutions.
• Proactively identifying technical deficiencies through scans and analyses, as well as proposing and implementing measures together with the team.
• Acting as a technical bridge and supporting operations in understanding technical risks.
• Acting as a technical expert during IT-related security incidents and supporting or driving the technical investigation work.

Depending on operational needs, you may also work with other tasks that match your competence.

Qualifications

Required for the role:

• University education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience assessed by the employer as equivalent.
• Several years of experience in technical work within relevant IT areas.
• Experience in IT operations in large and/or complex organizations.
• Understanding of IT and how business and IT interact.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

Terms of Employment

Permanent full-time position with immediate start as soon as possible according to agreement. Tests and work trials may be included in the recruitment process. Copies of certificates will be submitted to Falu Municipality in connection with the interview.
