Fysikum is one of the largest departments within the Faculty of Science, with approximately 230 employees, including around 70 doctoral students. The Department of Astronomy has approximately 80 employees, including 30 doctoral students, and is the largest of its kind in Sweden.
Both departments are part of the AlbaNova University Centre – a strong research and education cluster. The collaboration is close, especially within education, offering courses ranging from introductory levels to doctoral studies. In total, the departments have over 700 students each year.
We are now looking for a full-time Study Advisor with primary responsibility for undergraduate education. You will play a central role in developing and ensuring the quality of study administration, contributing to a professional, accessible, and student-focused educational environment.

Responsibilities
As a Study Advisor, you will have a central role in the educational organization, with a special focus on undergraduate education at Fysikum and the Department of Astronomy. You will work closely with study directors, study advisors, and the university's central student services department. You will be responsible for a broad spectrum of study administrative and student-facing tasks, including:
- Study guidance and administration of students, primarily at the undergraduate level.
- Guidance within teacher education in physics as well as KPU (Courses for Professional Development).
- Processing of targeted pedagogical support and credit transfers.
- Planning, participation, and coordination of information regarding admissions, roll calls, and introductions.
- Planning and participation in open houses, career days, graduation ceremonies, recruitment efforts, and information meetings.
- Updating and developing the education website.
- Scheduling and room booking.
Organizationally, you will belong to the administrative section at Fysikum.
Qualifications
Requirements
- University-level education.
- Experience in study administration or similar work within universities/higher education.
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
- Good knowledge of the Office suite.
- Experience with administrative systems such as LADOK, Canvas, NyA, and TimeEdit.
- Good teamwork skills and a strong service orientation.
Merits
- Subject knowledge in physics and/or astronomy.
- Experience as a study advisor or education coordinator (preferably with a focus on natural sciences).
- Experience in communication via web and social media.
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who is independent, meticulous, structured, and solution-oriented. You thrive in a role that requires high flexibility, good prioritization skills, and the ability to handle periods of high workload. You are communicative and feel confident speaking in front of groups. Collaboration is important to you, and you actively contribute to a good work climate.

About the position
The position is a one-year fixed-term appointment on a full-time basis. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
