Job Description

Do you have a background in mechatronics, biomedicine, mechanics, electrical engineering, or computer science, and are you interested in medical robotics and human-in-the-loop control? This position may be for you. We are looking for an ambitious, cooperative, and structured person to join our team.

You will lead research work on human-in-the-loop control for medical robotics within the framework of cardiovascular technology. The goal is to develop innovative control systems for optimized interaction between soft cardiovascular pumps and wearable biofeedback systems with the human body. You will have the opportunity to critically evaluate the safety of the new control system for real-world application using a hybrid mock circulation. This unique system enables real-time testing in interaction with the dynamics of the human cardiovascular system in different patient groups. You are expected to publish in scientific journals independently and support the coordination of the research group and the supervision of students.

As a postdoc, you will be an integrated part of the growing Intelligent Heart Technology Lab, whose mission is to develop heart and vascular health technology, at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems. Read more about our research here. Throughout the project, you will work closely with stakeholders at clinics and international partners, enabling rapid learning and idea exchange with physicians.
