Tyresö School is a grades F-9 school located in eastern Tyresö, with the forest right at your doorstep and within walking distance of a beautiful castle environment and bay. The schoolyard is large and invites varied play and activities. The school is characterized by good academic results, high well-being, and study tranquility – simply a school and workplace we are proud of. We know that there is nothing more inclusive than good teaching, and our common goal, where we all contribute in our different roles, is to create the best school for every individual student. We work together in year-level teams with a development-oriented Student Health Team (SHT) as support for teachers and students.

About the position

We are now looking for a mathematics teacher for the lower secondary school (grades 7-9), starting in October 2026. Together with a competent team of teaching colleagues, you will take responsibility for mathematics teaching at the lower secondary level. The position includes mentorship for a group of students in the year level.

Who are you?

You are a certified teacher in mathematics for grades 7-9 and are documented as skilled at guiding teenagers in a subject that is challenging for many.

You have several years of experience teaching at the lower secondary level as well as in assessment and grading.

You are a clear leader in the classroom and very skilled at building relationships. You recognize the importance of adapting teaching to the students in front of you in the classroom, and it is important to you that your students succeed and grow. You believe in the fundamental idea that all children do their best if they can. Furthermore, you are structured with a high degree of independence, but you are also a natural team player.

It is a given for you to constantly evaluate your teaching because you enjoy developing professionally. You enjoy refining the pedagogical craft and developing your classroom practice.

If you are offered employment with us, you are expected to be able to present an extract from the police certificate for pre-school and school. Therefore, it is good to order such a certificate from the police website now.
