About International English School Kista
International English School (IES) Kista is part of Sweden's largest and most successful network of bilingual schools and admits students in grades F–9. IES Kista has 640 students and 79 employees. We follow the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22), where up to 50% of the teaching takes place in English. At IES Kista, we believe in high academic expectations, bilingual education (English and Swedish), and mutual respect between students and staff. About the Position
We are now looking for a certified teacher in Physical Education and Health for grades 4–9. As a P.E. teacher at IES Kista, you will:
- Teach Physical Education and Health to students in grades 4–9 in accordance with the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22).
- Be knowledgeable and passionate about your subject and inspire students in every aspect of Physical Education and Health.
- Be a secure leader with a focus on safety and a calm study environment.
- Plan, conduct, and assess engaging lessons.
- Adapt and differentiate your teaching to challenge and support students at different levels.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the aesthetic subject group to create an inspiring learning environment.
- Contribute to the school's positive and international atmosphere.
- As a mentor for 16 students, support them in reaching their full potential, regardless of background.
Qualifications
- Teacher degree and certification in Physical Education and Health for grades 4–9.
- Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English.
- Teaching is in Swedish in the subject of Physical Education and Health, and experience in teaching beginner swimming is required.
- Experience teaching in an international or bilingual environment is an advantage.
- A structured, safety-conscious, and professional approach to teaching and teamwork.
